We've had worse Presidents - that is for sure, but I wouldn't rank Trump that highly. He is far from the worst President to ever hold office, but he certainly isn't high on my list.

I haven't done a step by step analysis of every President in American history but of the Presidents that have held office during my 65 years on earth, Trump is definitely one of the top 3 worst. Biden, Trump, Obama. Trump is by far the most obvious turncoat of the three.

The moment we accept ‘my side’s version is less bad’ we’ve lost the argument and handed politicians permission to push further. That’s exactly how power grabs escalate — each side enables their own, which gives the other side cover to go further next time.

Tribalism doesn’t just blind us — it actively makes things worse. It’s the mechanism that allows every administration to expand power beyond what the last one did.

We don’t have a left problem or a right problem. We have an accountability problem. And until Americans demand the same standard from both sides, nothing gets fixed.
