When Democrats occassionally leave the bounds of the law as well, we need to have an independent AG. You’ll note that I said the same thing about the IRS and VA scandals under Obama.

Obama has not been a perfect President. He should have fired a lot of people who were responsible for some real scandals during his Presidency. The VA Scandal, the IRS scandal and the Secret Service scandals were all worthy of not only firing but some prison sentences... That nobody was publicly fired says a lot about his management style; that he finds out about some major stories "in the news paper" says something else...people are afraid to bring bad news to his door.

We also need to get rid of the presidential pardon since it’s become open to the highest bidder under Trump and more or less a get out of jail free card for anyone who happens to be connected.

“Attorney General Pam Bondi has been leading a White House cover-up of the Epstein files. She has weaponized the Department of Justice to protect Donald Trump and put survivors in harm’s way by exposing their identities,” Rep. Robert Garcia (Calif.), the top Democrat on the panel, said in a statement. “She will not escape accountability and remains legally obligated to appear before our Committee under oath.
