Blinken warns Ukraine's gains could be reversed without more US aid

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Monday that Ukraine's gains over two years of fighting were all in doubt without new US funding, as NATO's chief visited to lobby Congress.

Tens of billions of dollars in US aid has been sent to Ukraine since the invasion in February 2022, but Republican lawmakers have grown reluctant to keep supporting Kyiv, saying it lacks a clear end game as the fighting against President Vladimir Putin's forces grinds on.

As NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg made the case on a visit to Washington, Blinken offered an increasingly dire picture of Ukraine's prospects without US approval of the so-called supplemental funding.

IMHO, Ukraine / Russia is 100% Europe's problem, Europe can use this as a good reason to start putting some effort into national defense for once, and Russia can easily be handled with a little effort.

There's zero reason the USA needs to be involved, we should be using those resources wasted on Ukraine on the southern border.

Check out the names in A.I which they took, including some of the best from France. Only cost them a measly $2M Euros a year or so, but, these big names have contributed to their accelerated A.I programs which they have militarized.

We now in Ontario have a brand new marketing scheme to try and keep our top students here post-grad with programs, grants etc. America is still the top location for our talent, but we also lose out to China, Germany, Japan etc.

Thankfully we pick and choose our immigrants and the last couple of decades has been on top talent. However, we still have a caste system which protects apparatuses and their kids at the expense of our competitiveness. If we had an open border as you do our entire nation would have collapsed/

Well, the article didn't dismiss the fact that biolabs exist in Ukraine ('owned and operated by Ukrainian government'). Or even that the US government provided some funds to support them.

I don't get why all that fuss about these biolabs. They existed there from the Soviet times, and yes maybe some of them work with dangerous 'samples'. But hell, similar biolabs exist in China and Russia. Where are all those anti-WEF and anti-Lugar crowds protesting that?
