EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – A woman was shot and killed Monday evening while working at the drive-through window at a McDonald’s in East St. Louis, the second deadly incident at the same restaurant this year.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday at a McDonald’s restaurant in the 500 block of 24th Street. Investigators said the gunman drove up to the window and opened fire on the victim. She was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
“Young lady was shot at work. You know, just a tragic situation,” Major Rory Stewart, East St. Louis Park District, said.
The East St. Louis Police Department requested the assistance of Illinois State Police to conduct the investigation.
Why Mickey D's does not shut down their Goblinville locations when the sun goes down is beyond me.
Second murder there this year? Shutter it as a public nuisance already. Jeez.
