In a Republic, actually
"As President-elect Donald Trump fills out his Cabinet and chooses his closet advisers ahead of Inauguration Day, many African American leaders are asking why more Black people haven't been appointed to key positions. ABC News spoke to more than a half dozen longtime and new African American conservatives and Republicans within Trumpworld, in and outside of Washington."

Apparently there are no ‘black jobs’ available.

I just want to go on the record as stating that I'm an African American female and I still found Clayton's comment about no "black jobs available" funny as hell.

Sorry, Clayshit, but Trump isn't a racist or sexist who hires people because of their skin color or gender, he picks people based on who appears best QUALIFIED to do the work.
And there just aren't enough QUALIFIED BLACK people to do the work right?

Black Republicans feel left out of Trump's 2nd-term picks

Democrats REALLY feel left out! Whoops, except for the rejects of the DNC, Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr.! :auiqs.jpg:

They got jobs!
They got jobs!
They got jobs!

I noticed that as he was appointing individuals to serve in his upcoming administration that there were women and Hispanic choices, but until he picked Scott Turner, there were no blacks.
That said, when we look at the fact that we have narrow majorities in both the house and senate, it would be best to not pick anyone from either of those. Leave them in place. I didn't want him picking Gaetz either.
If he did pick from outside either house, it would have to be a Governor, Lt. Governor or local politician (Mayor, et cetera). But when you get down to local areas, the left would have a field day attacking picks of local individuals, as they would have absolutely no experience in anything major.
Despite the claims against Lt. Governor Mark Robinson, I would have liked to have seen him picked for a position. I like that he is a powerful speaker who is a staunch supporter of our Constitution and its Bill of Rights, something the left isn't.

there are people who aren't white being appointed to key positions .. does Kash Patel look white to you ? and there are dozens of key positions left for him to appoint people to lead .. heck he may even pick you to be the acting liaison to the LGBTQ community ..

African American Republicans take a massive amount of venom from the left. We live in this modern surveillance world where any signs of imperfections are magnified into a crisis of galactic woes. The party is gradually increasing the percentage of African Americans who align with them and that is good. Republicans who are African Americans are an engine to common sense.

And whenever Trump picks a black man you find something to complain about. NTW Kash seems dark to me.

The quotation cited by the OP specifically mentions people who are Black/African Americans (Americans of African descent). Patel is an American of Asian Indian descent.

We're not the same.

And when Trump picks Blacks as he has done in the past, you people pull out your Uncle Tom insult license and start hurling it. Calling out Trump on lack of Blacks in his current cabinet is exposure exercise - I Get it. But, I also remember how you people excoriated Ben Carson in the last Trump Admin and how you’ve treated Tim Scott. I even remember your side trying to rip apart Condoleeza Rice.

Okay, Ben Carson is a renown surgeon right? So wouldn't it have made more sense to assign him to one of the health agencies - the department of health and human services (HHS) or the National Institute of Health (NIH), etc.

But instead of placing him in an area within his field, they make him head of HUD, Housing and Urban Development.

So yeah, that makes him, through no fault of his own, look like a token made by Trump in an attempt to appease those among us who are not fully knowledgeable or aware of how the populace is manipulated.
