On Friday, January 22, 2016, at approximately 11:25 a.m., a black male suspect wielding a black semi-automatic pistol, attempted to rob a supermarket located in the 5200 block of Canal Street in Houston, TX.
The suspect responsible for this attempted robbery entered this location through the front door and approached the front counter. The suspect pointed a gun at the store employee and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect became angry at the victim because he did not comply with his demands. He then shot a round at the store employee as he fled the location in an unknown direction of travel. The victim was protected by bullet proof security glass and did not sustain any injuries during the shooting.
Suspect: black male with a tattoo on his chest, approximately 6’00 tall, 200 lbs., wearing a black jacket with white designs, black shirt, gray pants and a black dorag.
