I went to see Black Mass over the weekend with friends while in vegas. It was interesting ****** seemed like a horrible person and his sidekick was pure evil imo.

My friend couldn't get past the bad make up job, skin cap and blue contacts on Johnny Depp..... that's the only feedback he contributed with me on whether he liked the movie.

I heard Depp will play Witchipoo in Tim Burton's eventual "H.R. Pufnstuf" Won't that be fun.

BOSTON (CBS) – It induced fear in ****** Bulger and even threatened to put him over the edge.

Bulger once volunteered for a secret CIA program studying the effects of LSD on humans and now the I-Team has obtained a notebook in which ****** wrote down his thoughts and fears about taking the mind altering drug.

While in federal prison for bank robbery in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, Bulger volunteered to take part in the covert CIA program called MK-ULTRA in exchange for time off from his sentence.

Of all the people that could have played ******, I fear I will never past the makeup, skin head and blue eyes either.

It was interesting? Well, did you like it? 1-10, a rating. :D

I like Johnny Depp, but I wonder why he was chosen to play this role? He's a great actor, but . . . I would think they would have found someone older and balder? :dunno:

Oh, and how were the New England accents? Were they way overdone or what? Usually on movies they waaaay over exaggerate the accent, or it just doesn't sound right. I was curious about that.

I saw it last week Chris and I'd give it about a 3. They took a really fascinating story and managed to make it boring. Depp isn't bad as ****** but the rest of the cast was horrid. Save your money...I wish I had!

I love new england accents, but yeah it was strange to see Johnny Depp playing this role. I thought it was interesting the story but wanted to know more about his childhood and why was his brother such a successful politician and his was such a psychopath?

I wondered more about his early life and less about the corrupt F.B.I. agent.

Interesting side note...when I last lived in Boston I had the top floor of a 3-Decker on Washington Street in the Lower Mills section of Dorchester. One of ******'s burial grounds was a vacant lot where the Florian Hall used to stand before it burned down. That vacant lot was literally a hundred yards from my living room windows. If memory serves me, I think they put three bodies in that spot.

I agree. I'm surprised they didn't get into that more.

And the brass balls on those guys is mind blowing! They were burying bodies right down off the Southeast Expressway which is probably the busiest roadway in Massachusetts.

Probably at nighttime when people couldn't really see what they were doing. Blatant though.

That's probably the most amazing thing about the two Bulger brothers, Drifter. You've got one brother who ends up being the head of organized crime in Boston while at the same time the other brother is arguably the most powerful politician in the State of Massachusetts. If you wrote a Hollywood screen play with that premise people would ridicule you for how unrealistic your story was because there is no way that would ever happen in real life! Yet it did.

I drove that route 5 nights a week, Chris...right over the Neponset River bridge and then off the Expressway at the next exit, Granite Ave. The roadway is elevated there so you can't see down the embankment unless you pulled over into the breakdown lane but even still there are cops on that stretch of highway all the time...especially at night. That empty lot near my old apartment? It was literally surrounded by houses and apartment buildings. It's in the middle of freaking Dorchester! When I heard what was there I was amazed. You'd think they would have taken them out to the Blue Hills or some wooded area like that.

He was a scary person for sure.

I wanted to know more about the brothers growing up and also about their parents. I am sure it is interesting I don't understand why each one was so drastically different from the other.

LOL...what's "scary", Drifter is I managed Jillian's...a bar down by Fenway Park and would typically be headed home about 4 in the morning. I would drive right by that vacant lot and then park right there on the street. If they were out there and thought I saw something? I probably would have gone in the hole too.

I think ****** had a big head because he was an FBI informant or something. That is probably why he felt so comfortable doing such things.
