That black neighborhood needs to raise their own capital to start their own store similar to a Walgreens.

If that black community opened it's own outlet they'd just go broke due to LEGAL theft.

Long story short Walgreens is closing a store in a black neighborhood because of theft and black residents cry racism

This is so typical of modern America

I blame the problem on soft-on-crime liberals who refuse to punish shoplifting and that forces Walgreens to close the store

Hell, they closed a supermarket in my city. The only one convenient to their 'hood'.

Here is the solution for Walgreens and other pharmacies located in neighborhoods with a high rates of retail theft and flash mobs.

If the state and local governments don’t want chain retailers leaving inner city neighborhoods, then the first thing government needs to do is give the retailer a tax incentive or other incentive so that the retailer can retrofit their stores so that they are functional to serve the community, yet theft and mob and riot proof.

Buyers can either use online or an on-site kiosk to “bag” their items. Store workers gather the items and they are ready for pickup.

When the buyer walks into the store, they go to one of several checkout windows manned by cashiers or electronic pmt checkouts where the buyer pays for their merchandise and then they have access to their merchandise.

No more “browsing” or aisle access for the buyers.

Or, let the government set up retail centers and bear the risk of theft and flash mobs.

Or, an effective mode would be to let the Koreans expand their businesses to sell the pharmaceuticals and toiletries. For some strange reason, Korean businesses are rarely hit by flash mobs. Must be the bulletproof glass and the possibility that the clerks are packing heat.
