Black History Month: A Romani Perspective Inspired by Malcolm X
As we celebrate Black History Month, we honor the legacy of Malcolm X, whose fight for self-determination resonates deeply with the Romani community. His call for empowerment and justice inspires our own quest for recognition and dignity within the Roma Nation Movement.
Malcolm X reminded us that “the future belongs to those who prepare for it today.” This message urges us to reclaim our narratives and take control of our identities. The Roma Nation Movement seeks to empower Romani people, challenging the systemic racism we’ve faced for centuries and uniting us in our struggles.
Both the Black and Romani communities share histories of oppression and resilience. By standing together, we can amplify our voices and demand justice and equality.

Let’s celebrate our unique cultures and recognize the rich contributions we both bring to society. In the spirit of solidarity, we honor our interconnected struggles for dignity and respect. Together, we can build a future where all communities thrive.

I'll be glad to stand with you my brother.

Shoplifting and drive-by playground shootings? No thanks, I'll stay with the traditional celebrations, like 4th of July and Thanksgiving.

Hood rats hate the real Malcolm X. He didn't have any sympathy for dopers and gangbangers.

It's true enough, you do share many traits. This from someone who has seen enough.

Having been one himself. Prison and conversion to black nationalism cured that.

Villains, like MAGA, don't think they are villains.
