I know there are already a couple of other threads on the Birthright Citizenship issue, already. However, this one is different. I am curious about how many think (agree) it would be wrong to force a woman to carry the child of her rapist. . . but think it's just fine to force the U.S, to afford citizenship status (and all the perks that come with it) to a child that is FORCED on the nation in a criminal act.

*This poll presumes that abortion has been banned or is in the process of being banned, and the "exceptions" of that ban are being considered.

It was explained to me one time that killing the baby is basically punishing the innocent of the crimes of the father.

It's rare to convict a rapist within 9 months.

It would just encourage more false rape reports.

I can see why people feel that way, but if I ask me, honestly I think that for the good of everybody involved, we should make women abort the child of a rapist.

Genes are very powerful, and the child of a rapist is likely (although it's not a guarantee) to grow up to be a rapist, too. Best to nip it in the womb.

What does "rape exception" mean?
I tried to explain that in the OP.

This poll presumes that abortion has been banned and making exceptions (for rape, life of the mother etc.) are being considered for the ban.

I can't deny that would be a deciding factor for me (to oppose the exception) if I thought that was a fair characterization of what the justifications are for the (in my view) conditional exceptions that I (for now) can support.

Both statements are probably true.

However, is that your starting point or end of conversation?

Oh, STFU and get down off your soapbox. This is a stupid topic! It has nothing to do with birthright citizenship. You just want to ***** about abortion again!

Laws regarding abortion are a state issue now. If you disagree, deal with your state.

I'm just stating some relevant facts.

This "rape exception" you brought up is a bit more complicated than it's made out to be.

In practice, how do you prove it was rape?

That's called eugenics.

I agree.

Very relevant

100%

It would have to be investigated and treated like any other rape.

Additionally, if the woman/ victim is pregnant, the dna of the child could determine of the accused is the contributor.

Yet we keep the rapist alive and murder the baby that never got a chance to prove itself. Execute the rapist and the money that would of been spent keeping the shithead alive, could help nurture the baby to a long and fruitful life.
