In a blatant display of pay-to-play corruption, Donald Trump’s administration accepted a $5 million donation from Reynolds American to his super PAC on April 30, 2026, and just eight days later delivered favorable FDA policy changes that eased restrictions on flavored vapes, directly benefiting the donor.

Trump allowed big tobacco companies like Reynolds American to sell flavored vapes more freely after the payoff.
