I stopped recently at a Big Boy restaurant and enjoyed the Big Boy Combo. This was really delicious and I don't get the opportunity to eat there very often. If anyone has ever eaten there tell me what you think of their food.

I haven't eaten at a Big Boy for at least 55 years---not many in this neck of the woods. As I recall, they were a pretty good chain. Probably comparable to a Red Robin, Appleby's or Ruby Tuesday.

I love going to Big Boy with my folks when I was younger. It was one of their favorite places. Hot cakes for breakfast are delish!

They vanished here . I have heard they have them in north California but its not the same as in Florida in the 1970s.

They had Bob's Big Boys in Las Cruces, NM when I was a kid and I saw Frisch's Big Boys in Indianapolis in the late 60s, but the last Big Boy I saw was short lived in Modesto, CA. There is an old Big Boy statue at a coffee drive thru in Spirit Lake, ID, but it isn't a Big Boy restaurant.

Back in the day, big boy had the curbside service where girls would bring your meals out to your car. Back in the late 1970s though, plenty of drugs showed up with the cars, and the families stopped going.
