Big Blue City incompetence. LA actually loses money on parking tickets

Los Angeles: why even bother? You can't even make a profit on parking tickets! Get rid of the entire program, let people park where they want.

Does anyone in a big blue city ever consider the taxpayer?

My town got shed of parking meters 30+ years ago.

The reason, they cost more to buy/service/enforcement than they took in.....I guess LA never got the memo.

It's not about profit, it's about Dem hacks who get to run it for ridiculous taxpayer funded salaries, benefits and pensions.

Yup. That's democrat policies alright. Same thing happens with everything they do. That's 76 million dollars they could have spent to work on the homeless problem. Everything they do backfires spectacularly.

Parking meters were originally established in Kansas City to prevent people from using them as parking lots and taking up space for retail customers. They were not intended as a new revenue source, but to cover the cost of monitoring them.
