Biden's striking honesty last night...

Last night in the debate Joe Biden had one moment of truthfullness in what he was going to do as President...

When asked by the President whether or not Biden would shut down oil, Biden responded
"We would transition from oil, yes"

Remember that Pa, Oh, Ok, Tx...And other states that have oil industries in their states...Joe Biden is about to crumble your economies.....

The key word is transition.

Yeah? Which means what for the oil industry?
They have enough time to invest in other businesses.
It was very interesting to see how Trump bragged about the clean water and the clean air, that, according to Biden, are the results of the policies of Obama and not of Trump´s deregulation.
Trump was suppose to have destroyed the EPA along with America, remember?
Was he actually planting millions of trees? I know only about a single one he planted together with Macron before he broke up with him.
What does that have to do with your prior post? Are you deflecting away from it? Because, it really does
sound like your deflecting away from it.
BTT, then. So if you plan to go zero-emission by 2050, you have to get rid of the oil sector.

I see you missed that. it went right over your demofk head. He has done deregulation with maintaining clean air and water. His point is one doesn't need to end industries because of regulations to have clean air and clean water.
You are not that smart. Such policies have mid- and long term effects, it is not a matter of days.

not at all. it's all lip service, and I don't need any lips on my zipper. just admit you hate working middle class people. See if you didn't, then you'd be against shipping our jobs over to china where they have issues with pollution. but you don't care, light up the pollution there without regard for the globe. you all don't care. really, it's that obvious.

That word is meaningless. Does anyone believe they would outlaw fossil fuel use the day Biden was inaugurated?

That was just one of Donald's 372 lies and exaggerations last night. Biden knows that we have to gradually move away from oil and in that process, create millions of good paying jobs.
It will destroy far more jobs than it creates, and it will vastly lower our standard of living. We can create jobs by having people did holes and fill them up again, but that doesn't make my life any better. The jobs argument is a diversion. They had no shortage of jobs in the USSR.

The US depends on foreign oil. 7 million barrels are imported each day. Trump made it clear: He doesn´t like wind mills because they are made in Germany and China. But there are alternatives, anyway. Nuclear power plants can deliver the energy that is required to power the millions of electric cars that would come with a zero-emission policy.

Transition from oil is not the same as shutting down oil.

Oil is a non-renewable resource. When we use the last drop it is gone forever. It is getting low we have to transition to other sources. If we wait until it's all gone to change our ways we will be in real trouble. How can people be so greedy and absent-minded? If Trump is elected we are dead fish like Putin paid him to do.

There is no evidence that we are getting low on oil. In fact, there is some evidence that oil does indeed renew.

And we will as the technology becomes readily available at an economic price to compete with fossil fuels. Solar and Wind technologies have a way to go.

No, key words "ZERO carbon emissions by 2025". That means a complete ban on oil, AND gas powered vehicles/machines.
And breathing, since humans exhale CO2 (carbon emissions)....

Expect to go away in the future, the same way steel did and coal:

Steel production in the United States peaked at 111.4 million tons in 1973, and declined slightly to 97.9 million tons in 1978. ... Although the bulk of job losses occurred in the 1974-1986 period, steel employment would continue to decline for decades, reaching just 142,000 jobs in 2015.

and

In 2018, coal mining decreased to 755 million short tons, and American coal consumption reached its lowest point in nearly 40 years. ... In 2016, US coal mining declined to 728.2 million short tons, down 37 percent from the peak production of 1,172 million tons in 2008.

Steel didn't go away, Stupid. We are just importing the majority of it due to unions pricing the US out of the steel market.

Man you are dumb.

We import oil and we ship out our own oil.

You Ecoweenies claimed in the '70s we would be out of oil by now.............and we know of more reserves today than we had in the '70s.
