I started smoking in 1951. A pack of cigs cost 10 cents. A carton cost 90 cents. Today I bought a carton for $63.00.

About 57.50 here for a carton of Marlboro Special Select. Basic training and AIT (fall and winter) broke me from menthol cigarettes. You cannot run all the time in cold air and smoke menthol. That sh#t will kill no matter how young you are. Don't remember what they cost back then, but cheaper than on the free economy. As you well know, cigarettes and liquor were always far cheaper on post. Go figure.

It's simple, raise the minimum wage to $15/hr. Print more money with no value and in so doing reduce the value of the dollar by 2/3 and the poor have less buying power--now $5/hr. which now puts them in taxable income rate and not on welfare rolls and the next election--the democrats claim that the working poor's problem is all because of republicans. Makes sense to me. SMH.
