Biden's Proxy Wars

Let's not kid ourselves about why we are involved in a war against Russia: After the Afghanistan debacle, Biden had to get another war started to restore his foreign policy credentials. Thus he pushed the idea of adding to NATO a hostile Ukraine on the border of Russia. He knew of Russia's response well before its invasion, yet he sat back and did nothing to prevent it. Instead, he used Ukraine as a proxy for demonizing and fighting a war with Russia. How has that turned out?

In the Middle East, Biden has created a similar result by lifting sanctions against Iran. This was a purely political maneuver to derail Trump's successful Abraham Accords, which were poised to achieve a lasting peace between Israel and her neighbors. By allowing Iran to spend $billions more on funding terrorist activities against Israel, these accords collapsed and we are now involved in another proxy war of his making.

Should we celebrate these achievements by electing his progeny for another four years, or should we put an end to these dreadful wars?

Biden began the war with Russia when he was vice president. As vice president, Biden was taking control of the Ukraine, building a US navy base there threatening Russia in the black sea. Biden also tried to take control on the Ukraine fossil fuel industry. Another threat to Russia.

It was the Orange Shit released 5,000 Taliban Prisoners, one of whom is now the leader of Afghan Government.

What's really sad is that war is considered, "good foreign policy" by large chunks of the establishment, and that ending a war is considered a foreign policy failure. Listen, Biden did a shit job withdrawing from Afghanistan...but he did it. He succeeded in actually ending a war that had been going on for like 20 years, and for that I give him credit. Yet apparently, it's considered a foreign policy failure. The real failure is not with Trump, or Biden. It's with Bush 43.

That's because Trump knows he can't end those wars. He knows he couldn't stop them from happening. He also knew he could sit on the sidelines, criticize the current administration and there would be suckers who would believe his lies. There were wars going on when Trump was president. He didn't stop anything from happening. But he can make people like you believe he did things he never did.

Thanks for the colorful language, but it misses the target. The problem with the Afghan withdrawal was not the plan, but the execution. Do you really think that Penny Pinching Don would have left $850 billion in military equipment to the Taliban, not to mention Bagram Air Base?
