Go Joe !!
Title says it all.
Joe Biden, the dems, and Biden's brilliant Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) have really put the pressure on the big bad drug companies that have bought the GOP. Despite swift and forceful GOP resistance (remember Ted Cruz after the passage), the democrats have managed to do something great and cap the price of some meds, including insulin. This price cap has put extreme pressure on drug companies to cap the price of insulin at a reasonable level or else face the wrath of the dems !

Insulin manufacturers have come under increased public and government pressure to lower their prices for more people with diabetes in the wake of the Inflation Reduction Act, which set a $35 cap per insulin prescription per month for Medicare beneficiaries.

The dems did this, and the GOP opposed it and have always opposed it. the dems want to lower prices on all drugs, but the GOP will not let them. The republicans tried to remove insulin price caps from Biden's IRA, but the dems prevailed and now all Americans get cheaper insulin all thanks to the dems.

So that did nothing, and produced nothing.

Here it is right here right now, Biden has got a $35 cap on insulin, with more price caps to come.

Trump did nothing and did not lower any drug prices at all, but biden did.

Uh, Biden froze it in 2021, on his 2nd full day in office in fact. Then he canceled it.

The prices of insulin has soared in the US in recent decades and is more than eight times higher in the US than in 32 comparable, high-income nations, according to a Rand Corporation study.

With an average list price of $98.70 per unit in the US, compared with $7.52 in the UK, US insulin sales account for nearly half the pharmaceutical industry’s insulin revenue, though the US makes up only about 15% of the global market.
The Senate this week, the Biden administration proposed a $35 monthly cap on the cost of insulin in the private market. But the proposal was blocked by Republicans.

The proposal needed 60 votes to pass in the Senate. It received 57, with all Democrats and seven Republicans voting in favor of the proposal.

Teabaggers...............Looking out FOR YOU.

yea because it did nothing beneficial and caused a lot of problems. - Like alot of the things Trump did.
Then he made a bill that works and got shit done...
Now we have an insulin price cap, which we didn't have under Trump at all.
Insulin is now $35, when it was significantly higher under trump...

So the stupid Biden froze the Trump plan on January 22, 2021, and then 2+ years later he reimposes basically the same plan and you think that is impressive? :auiqs.jpg:

Get a clue, Trump's plan would not have done shit to lower the price of meds, and it would have burdened insurance companies. Trump's plan did not lower the price on anything at all because prices were sky high.

Drug prices were sky high under the failed Trump presidency (add that to the long list of Trump failures). Biden is the first president to actually do something and he has lowered the price of insulin to $35, ginificantly less than under Trump !
I get it, you are mad that Biden got it done where Trump failed, but deal with it, and enjoy Biden's $35 Insulin AND many more price reductions in the future, i know you'll hate it.

he shoots he scores !

Drug prices are NOT an issue that the President or Congress should even be talking about, never mind legislating or spending Federal money on.

The Trump plan was for $35 insulin. Biden killed it and then took 2+ years to do the same thing.

The inaptly named IRA only applies to seniors, sams as the Trump plan did.

Too bad the Trump plan would not have made insulin $35.
Sorry, Trump did nothing and had record drug prices, Biden did everything and now we have $35 insulin and other price reductions coming.

Go Joe !
and remember the GOP fought tooth and nail against $35 insulin.
just remember that

Sorry you lose:

This means that only those patients who elect (and pay for) enhanced coverage will be able to take advantage of the $35 price cap – and only if their drug plans participate. Millions of seniors whose plans do not include this provision will continue to pay an average of over $1,100 in annual out of pocket insulin costs.
Obviously, any policy that lowers seniors’ insulin copays can be helpful, but this is not nearly enough. The president’s order does nothing to reduce the actual price of insulin, one of the most notoriously cost-inflated drugs in recent memory. The price of a one-month supply of insulin has exploded from $21 in 1996 to $275 today.

Drug prices are an extremely important issue and the president and Congress need to make sure Bid pharma doesn't crush hard working Americans by overcharging them for insulin and other meds.

Good thing we have Biden to lower the price of meds, Trump did nothing to lower the price of meds because Big Pharma owns the GOP because of dirty campaign contributions.

If we ever had real campaign finance reform no republican would ever get elected again and we would solve all the major problems in America

I’m going to quote the portion of Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution which defines what “General Welfare and zoom on Defense” means. Please point out which one of these SPECIFIC items gives Congress the power to regulate or spend on ANY medical issue.

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

Trump started the ball rolling, but Biden stopped it. He stopped it for 2+ years, meaning he harmed millions of seniors who needed insulin in the interim during those 2+ years.

You really are a Biden tool.

The liberal pukes on here hate Biden more than conservatives do but they have to act like he's a god instead of Gog and Magog. Joe truly serves Satan.

good thing the government doesn;t worl that way and it can regulate what companies that operate inside its boarders charge.

i get it, you like that big pharma over charges Americans for meds, then donates money to the GOP, getting those crooks elected. WIth out dirty corrupt big parma money, the corrupt republicans would never win any elections.

I care more about America and Americans and am proud to have a president that feels the same way, who caps the price of insulin at $35 instead of $350
