Weak leaders refuse to even speak with their adversaries.
Strong leaders don't avoid discussing serious disagreements with their opponents. It's been demonstrated countless times that diplomacy can peacefully resolve, or at least not escalate serious conflicts.
Biden is taking the former approach. I don't think this is good for the US nor the World. He's refusing to even have a discussion with Putin.
And his Admin has been rubbing stuff in Putin's face. They seem to be intent on escalating the conflict. For example, Blinken publicly stated that the sabotage of Russia's Nord Stream pipelines was a "tremendous opportunity," and he boasted that the US is making tons of money off of it since "we are the leading supplier of LNG to Europe." He went on to say that the occupied territories of Ukraine "will remain Ukrainian," even though the Ukraine is not a NATO member and we have no business there.
Contrast this cold shoulder and aggression to the peacemaking efforts of the Trump Admin. Trump met with our arch adversaries, including Putin and Kim Jong Un. Peacemaking should be the goal, not war.
All the talk of Armageddon is intentional. Instead of the warmongering, Biden could be stating that he wants to use all possible diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, and is open to discussions with Putin at any time, and as frequently as possible.
Sigh.
