Biden and Schumer call for more gun control measures.

It really does appear that the fix for all of the gun problems listed would be the elimination of a large portion of the guns.

Especially the kind of guns that are most useful in gun related crimes. (handguns, black assault weapons, etc?)

Let's begin with the first crime:

The large majority of police shootings will be the shooting of a person with a gun. Or at least the police suspecting a gun.

Maybe each of the listed example can be examined in the same way, in order to turn this thread into a useful discussion on America's gun problems.

How would that eliminate gun crime? We have ample evidence that where guns are outlawed the criminal element has no problems obtaining guns.

Japan. Long held as the ultimate gun control ideal, has had to admit that the Yakuza have more than twice as many guns as Yakuza members.

So, your solution is a failure in the most restrictive, and easily policed country on the planet.

Mainly in the form of enhanced background checks and closer monitoring of dealers.
That begs the question. Do we really have a serious gun 'problem' in America? A look at actual cases indicates that we may not. Consider these scenarios, that comprise the overwhelming majority of shootings.

Gun ownership regulation here in America has never been about the gun itself but rather what the gun can do and what that potential represents. If we lived in the Bronze Age our brave, oppressive leaders would be calling for restrictions on sword ownership, regulation of forges and licensing of black smiths trained in weapon production. Guns take power from the government and give that power to the people. Government cannot exist without people depending on it for their survival. Gun ownership interferes with that scenario. The only reason our American government allows gun ownership at all, is so that it can track which citizens have them.

Chuck Schumer knows that most Democrat Voters are low class trash criminals.
Chuck's Criminal Democrat Voters in NYC are beating people, stabbing people, shooting people, raping women, shoving people in front of subway trains, mugging people....
Chuck wants to protect his Criminal Supporters from armed victims.

That's a problem only because innocent people are often killed as well. Many of these black felons expect to be killed by a cop or another felon.

What else can one expect upon entering the arena of inner-city ghettos armed to the teeth? Our fearless authorities could clean out every last dangerous block in every American city almost overnight. They won't. Crime is very useful for law enforcement and district attorney career advancement purposes.
