Absolutely. According to all the polls I've seen a large majority of people think at least some regulation of abortion is proper for the states to do. But most do not want it banned for all reasons. Trump is on the record that the states are the proper place for such regulation to take place and he thinks those states with the most draconian abortion restrictions go too far as do those with no restrictions at all. But it is a matter for the people in the states to decide.
