Listen to this man. He like myself was a good Democrat. I gave them up in 1980. He gave up partly due to Obama Care. But let him tell you his story.

I thought you said you did not want us to control abortion. You said abortion was not our business
I was talking about the costs of healthcare which is also access to healthcare.

You don’t seem to know what is involved in a healthcare plan. I guess you’re too busy pretending you work in nuclear energy.

Conservatives are so full of shit.

Well thank god Trump replaced Obamacare as promised!

Oh wait...

If this dumbass was a Democrat, I'm the King of Neptune.
Oh thank god Biden stopped drilling as he promised. Thank god Harris was great at managing the invasion forces of illegals now in the USA. Thank god she took down Biden. Thank god Trump will replace her.

Excess cost growth in health care in the decade-plus since the passage of the ACA in 2010 has been zero. There’s no comparable period of such low cost growth over a sustained timeframe on record.

Your link says the national average premium was $244/mo in 2013. That's in a market without protections for people with pre-existing conditions and in which the average plan was less generous than what's available today.

This year the average individual market buyer is paying $111, with a substantial proportion of buyers paying under $10/mo.

The average monthly premium after APTC fell by 32%, from $164 in 2021 to $111 in 2024, and 44% of consumers, or nearly 9.4 million people, selected a plan for $10 or less per month after APTC during the 2024 OEP.

according to the site I linked to: “the national average monthly premium paid in the individual market in 2013 was $244, while by 2019 it was $558—more than doubling (a 129 percent increase) from 2013 to 2019.”
