If you truly knew that this is not a committed relationship, you'd have point, though you would still be going overboard. But you have no way of knowing that. Maybe she has what we derisively call "daddy issues," and actually finds herself attracted to this older man. Maybe he has a great personality. Or for whatever reason, they are attracted to each other and get along well. It doesn't always happen that way, be happy when it does.

Normally it makes no difference, but in discussing a man-woman issue, it would be helpful to know where you're coming from. For example, I'm a straight man in my early sixties. You may read something into my defending this at least as far as saying it's none of anyone's business.

I can see a straight woman getting furious at this situation. They are jealous of many types of women, but young women most of all. They see a rich woman, a beautiful woman, a thin or very fit woman, and could think it could be them with some effort. Not the young woman.
