Mahomes threw a behind the back pass to Kelce today for 8 yards and a 1st down. He’s just different.

That’s a low IQ play, I hope he keeps on doing it
LOL. Ok. He’s literally just playing with defenses now. Don’t be salty Bills fan. I guess when your worst season is losing in overtime in the AFC championship game it gets boring.

I’ve never met a Steelers fan that polishes Mahomes’s knob. Why don’t you ever post about the Steelers? Russell Wilson not good enough lol?

Hey when the Bills win a SB you can post about that.... Guess we wont see you in here posting for quite some time.

LOL

I don’t mind it. They practice stuff like that. Confidence builder. If it misses? Depends on how it misses, score and situation. If you “got it”….use it to bury and demoralize.

Like the Kelce running back-pass also. If it’s there? Give them more to think about. You only get about 50-60 plays over 3 hours. 3FG, 4TD usually means a win. Go for it,

Wilson is on the downside, no longer untouchable running around looking for recievers. Fields is/was a fumbler. Can Tomlin get one of them going w/o destroying the morale of the other one?

PITT has a tough last 7 games. But, they are Pittsburg.

I think Wilson is cooked. I wouldn’t be surprised if Justin Fields wins the starting job.

Tomlin isnt known for developing QB's. The Steelers didnt put a plan in place for when Ben retired and now they are paying for it just like they did with Bradshaw...

He is a great player. He is a tough player. I know the NFL wants offense. And has constantly changed the rules in favor of it. Perhaps the defense has its hands tied a little too much if he is doing that.

What exactly are the rules they've put in place that allow for this to happen that prior to their enactment made it not possible?

Going after the quarterback and putting a hurting on him. The athletes perhaps are atter today, decades ago without the defensive rules that keeps offense in the games, it may have been different. I think Randall Cunningham would be the best player in the league today if he was just starting. Mahomes in that other era would have gotten beat down. Running quarterbacks or ones who could run and out of the pocket guys was a tough road. I am not knocking Mahomes. The sport is different in that it has eras.

1, Those rules changed decades ago, what's stopped everyone from doing this for the last 20 years?

2, Randall Cunningham wouldn't be the best player in the league today

3, Mahomes isn't a running QB (Josh Dobbs and Taysom Hill had more rushing yds than he did in 2023). There are very few QB's who anyone would consider a "rushing" QB in the league even today.

Mahomes will run. Randall would run. Phrasing words differently makes us feel better. They both would throw first before they ran. A lot of Quarterbacks today do this. Perhaps some run before they pass. They do this because the rules changed. Randall was tough. And he took hits that Mahomes could only think of. It was open season on any Quarterback who ran and stayed in the pocket first. And Randall only touched the surface of what could have been. Arguably the better head coaches today are offensive minded. Randall had buddy Ryan to start his career. And a lot of defensive coaches as head coaches. Ryan spent more time on defense and once told Randall to give him five great plays a game. Andy Reid is an offensive genius. He had Donovan in Philly. Not quite the guy to get past the NFC Championship. Five chances. Got into one Super bowl and lost. Randall mentored tobacco y Reid or great offensive coaches would be a multi-Super bowl winner today. Great coaches with great quarterbacks equal paydirt.

Mahomes has about the same number of yards per year as David Carr in 2004. Just because Mahomes can run doesn't mean he is a running QB. Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen I would classify as a "running" QB. They have plays that are designed runs for them. Mahomes really doesn't. I guess they run a little RPO but 95% of the time he defaults to the P not the R. And why do you think Mahomes cant take a hit? He's bigger than Cunningham about the same height, and 10 lbs. heavier. Mahomes is also eons ahead of Cunningham in the passing game. It's one of the major reasons why Mahomes doesn't take hits, defenses are far more worried about his arm than his legs and he's proven that if you don't he will kill you.

I've had a serious problem w/ defenses catterwalling about how the game's changed & how their hands have been tied! IMO, they brought it on themselves w/ their ROTTEN attitude of pretending to care about other players as they literally try to put each other in a coma! I'm surprized a QB hasn't been killed on the field! I can still see some of them being lifted off the ground, then pile-drived into the turf! Thinking of Cunningham, I still wince thinking of the guy who lowered his head going right at the knee of the QB! Football players are true a-#oles & they're all FOS! :stir::meow::p
