Bay Area bachelorette puts up billboards in quest to find a husband

I encourage choice. Its called freedom to pursue what one wants. Im all good if people WANT kids. Im also fine with those that dont.

Not all choices are equal. THe choices where your community is choosing to not replace itself, means that it is a dying community.

Your denial of this fact is not... good. Self delusion might be a good coping mechanism, but it means you will never even address the problem, let alone solve it.

I do celebrate good behavior. I see that most all our graduates go onto further education upon graduation. Almost 80 percent of our graduates go onto 4 year schools. There are very few entering the workforce at 18 so they may be increasing their income levels. Thats tremendous!

That's useless. And oddly NOT Catholic behavior, to focus on MONEY as opposed to FAMILY.

One needs MONEY to feed Apparently you dont believe this.

Most all catholic raised kids here go o to furthering their education. They arent marrying at 20 i can assure you of that. To be married at 20 is a dying demographic.

Said the family that sat in front of me in church last Saturday, with their six kids.

She meets the requirements of "Rule Number 1: Underwear has to be smaller than mine"

Theres a few of those. Outliers no doubt.
.

Very common in my parish.

Near where I sit, there's a family of four generations. The great grandchild is an angelic little three year old and her baby brother is on his way.

Probably fifteen to twenty children are seated on the same side as I sit, in a very small church.

Small town Catholics in the Midwest will repopulate this country. Get over it.

When I go grocery shopping, it is never unusual to see parent/s with three children between toddler and first/second grade aged.

That's simply not true. You are LYING to yourself as a form of coping.

Having a pack of kuds at 20 and barely hanging on is frankly, not smart. So the taxpayers then get to foot the bill for them. And you dont like that eithet.

YOur pretense that the choice are A. dying out, or B. have a PACK of children at 20,

is just more coping.

I'm sorry your community is dying out. It is ok to be sad about that. Some coping can be ok, but you should be celebrating those of your young who are having kids. That right there, creates a culture that values something that SHOULD be valued.

And it encourages good and healthy behavior.

Show us some proof that large Catholic families are using taxpayer money for groceries.

If it wouldn't kind of be on the edge of self doxxing, I'd share how my parish raises thousands and thousands of dollars to support young poor women who have made the decision not to abort their unborn children. If families in our parish can't afford food, why would we be giving money to people we don't even know?

Honestly, nobody in my parish is hungry. In their last fund raiser, the local Knights of Columbus raised $6K for new mothers, and they do at least three fund raisers a year.

Poor people eat because of those big Catholic families.

Look after yourself. Dont depend upon others. We need to get past the :i need domeone" shtick. Its rather bizarre.
You aren't far from the truth.

Being married is about having someone other than yourself to care for. It isn't looking for what you can gain out of a relationship.

Of course reciprocity is normally expected but not required. Something way beyond your capacity of comprehension. You will be alone and die alone. Unheralded and completely forgotten....not even a single person at your funeral....because no one cared about your life or your passing.

But....you could change if you wanted to. A life without loved ones is an empty life without love.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Lisa Catalano is taking a rather unconventional avenue as she hopes to look for love in all the right places.

The 42-year-old Bay Area woman this month put up billboards along Highway 101 stretching from Santa Clara to South San Francisco as part of her campaign to find her future husband.

The billboards have a photo of the smiling brunette with the words "MarryLisa.com," and the objective of this campaign is just that — to find love and get married.

Potential suitors or folks who are just curious about this woman can check out her website, which she carefully curated to include details about herself, endorsements from friends and family, specifics on what she’s looking for in "Mr. Right," and an application to fill out, though she urged possible candidates to first check and see if the two would be compatible.

"I really can't stress this enough that the men who are filling out these applications should maybe read first a little bit about me and not just go off of the photo and the fact I'm looking for a husband," Catalano shared with KTVU on Friday.

She said a big component of her method is transparency.

"I strive for transparency with what I'm putting out there about who I am and what I'm looking for," Catalano said, adding, "because I don't want to lead anybody on, misrepresent anything and so I would encourage people to read."

About Lisa

On her website, what readers will find are facts like her physical attributes: She’s 5 foot 5.5 inches tall, 130 pounds, with a 36C bust size, and she hasn't had any cosmetic procedures; personality traits: She has a great sense of humor, she’s active, artistic and creative; her favorite baseball team: She’s a Giants fan; her likes and dislikes: She loves cats, enjoys wine and an occasional cocktail, but does not do tobacco, marijuana, or drugs; she’s self-employed, and when it comes to politics, she describes herself as democrat/liberal.

One thing she’s very open and honest about is her primary objective and hopes: "Wants marriage and kids within the next 2-3 years with the right man!" shared on her website.

What is Lisa looking for?

Beyond that, she also listed other non-negotiables: Her future husband should be college-educated, lead a healthy lifestyle, not a smoker or someone who partakes in drugs, has good hygiene, is politically aligned with her, does not have a criminal record and is "not particularly religious."

Preferences with ‘flexibility’

She also detailed areas where there is some wiggle room, including the target age of 35-45, which she said she can be flexible within a year or two at most. She would also prefer, though not set in stone, the man she ends up with has never been married and doesn't have any kids.

Catalano also prefers her future husband to live in the Bay Area.

She should try bus stop benches, the sides of buses, and insides of buses and subway cars.....She should also tone down the crazy eyes.

Think of all the nice guys that "weren't her type," or those who she passed over to go and "find herself" over the last 20+ years?

I'll bet her mommy told her to go to college and get a degree before worrying about a man. Then get her career started before worrying about a man. And then all the girls' nights out where they reassured one another that they didn't need a man!

And yet here she is, desperately advertising her worth for a man to take notice.

I don't know if it's the quintessential "modern woman" or just sad.

It's good that she loves cats.

She's 42 and wants a man who's never been married and has no children.

Yeah, good luck with that, honey.

Be careful about what she feeds you....it might not be going the way you think it's going.

Most wives use poison to kill their husbands. Just saying.

My dad has been having a LOT more fun since my mom died. (She wasn't kind or nice very often)

Been on bucket list trips, constantly going to get together and parties....having a lot of fun and a little flirting. He can't claim that he enjoyed things this much when she was alive.
