There are several probabilities that this balloon represents. I would call them Trojan Horse events.

One is a low yield nuke that when detonated aloft will take out several states and start a cascade failure of the US power grid. It's not hard to disguise an array to hide this type of EMP weapon. The size of this balloon could carry as much as a 5kt device.

Two is much worse. They use this same array configuration to hide a biological weapon in pelletized capsules. When released the coatings begin to degrade as they fall. This is called seeding. As your balloon and winds cross major cities, they drop these pellets, which are spread over a large region. As they fall the water in our atmosphere activates the contents and they open allowing the virus to spread rapidly in the air. IF even one person inhales the particles, they become the vector for rapid transmission.

Allowing this balloon to continue over the US is lunacy. This could be happening right now. This balloon has maneuvering thrusters as shown by the lateral movements over the night.

The Russians and Chinese park Satellites near our spy satellites. They do this to intercept the data coming off of it. This way they can learn how good our systems are, once they decide the data stream. And they can do so, eventually, even if they don’t buy the key from someone.

This tells them how much our cameras can see and what specifically we are looking at.

If you assume our own Generals are at least smart enough to copy the actions of the opposition, we almost certainly intercepted the data stream from the surveillance package. How good are their cameras? How sensitive are their radio receivers? What are they looking at and what are they focusing on? What spectrum are they using?

It is a variation of Reverse Interrogation. In that, the person being questioned learns more than the person asking the questions.

The thing to remember is you can learn a lot from some innocuous sources, and plan ahead accordingly.

I’d be disappointed if they shot it down before it crossed over the nation. First. I doubt it could learn much more than can be learned from orbital sources.

About damn time.

As mentioned eatlier, I started my military career intercepting Russian aircraft as soon as they entered US airspace and escorted them out, not allowing them to enter any further.

I never thought I would see a US President allow an enemy surveillance aircraft fly across the US, anywhere it wanted to go, do anything it wanted, for as long as it/they wanted, like they owned the country.
