Illegals deported and thousands of government jobs fired is the reason and thats a good thing. Its short term. Inflation is stable wages are up taxes down gas is down so spending power is up. The DOW is up. Low cost reliable energy is being expanded. Renewable high cost unreliable energy is being stopped. America is on track to build the strongest economy in the world after we dig ourselves out of the hole Obama and Biden put us in. Buried under a massive expansion of government funded by debt and printed money.

Since Covid, the employment numbers and percentages are less meaningful. It seems that a lot of people went from two incomes to either one or one plus a part time job, so the second earner is maybe not really looking, but would take a good job offer if it came about. That attitude cannot be quantified. Are they lookin for work? When they were eligible for UEC they had to actually be looking, but now that that time has run out, they are "sort-of looking."

We all know that the "Help Wanted" signs are as ubiquitous as weeds in your garden, for what that's worth.

No problem...TACO will fire all the data scientist and appoint a stooge. The jobs numbers will be revised up next month by....oh say....200,000 and everything is good. Look at rfk jr taking over our health care. He had NO experience in health care and what do we get....kids dying with measles after decades of few if no cases in the US.

Florida parents should be very afraid. No vaccine mandate means kids re gonna get sick and many will die....cause TACO wants it that way.

The report is pretty much in line with ADP's private sector employment report.

It is too soon to form judgement on how manufacturing is adjusting to tariffs, but initially the numbers in both the Bureau of Labor Statistics and ADP have the sector losing jobs.

For August ADP has the manufacturing sector losing 7,000 jobs.
The Bureau's report states: Manufacturing employment changed little in August (-12,000) but is down by 78,000 over the year.

Transitions don't happen at the drop of a hat and so I'll take the "Rome wasn't built in a day" attitude and hope the situation improves in coming months.
