As noted, anonymous baby drop-off has been a thing literally since forever. I know some churches had them at one point as well.

Avila was arrested and charged with attempted murder and child abuse.

“Alexis [Avila] explained she panicked and didn’t know what to do or who to call after the fact,” the warrant said. “[Avila] then stated she cut the umbilical cord, wrapped the baby in a towel and placed the baby inside a trash bag before she started ‘driving around.’”

What a bunch of hogwash. She knew to cut the umbilical cord, knew how to get rid of the child. What a lying little ****

trying to get sympathy. . won't get any here. She could have dropped the child off at any church, wrapped in a warm blanket/clothes
