August 11 2011 Republican debate Thread

Are they gonna ask ******* Ron Paul anything?

They're basically ignoring him and Santorum. Santorum is a non-entity in the polling, but Ron Paul is running in third consistently in the polling.

Yup. Instead it's Mitt, what would you do with the economy???

Ron, do you like brown people... seriously wtf.

Michelle, when the government forces you to purchase something, the word that you are desperately looking for is FASCISM

Holy cow, they actually asked Dr. Paul a question!!!!!

And he nailed it ON THE BELL!!!!!

Excellent answer by Romney on Romneycare.

Not really. The states have no right to force people to buy something anymore than the federal government does. I don't see Romney's answer as anything more than a cop out.

Romney still can't sell the difference between Romneycare and Obamacare

Ummmmm....it's the same thing

HOLY ****, will they ask anyone questions but the same THREE ******* people!?

Santorum reveals his role as a Dr. Paul hater...

Well he has gone after Paul quite a bit lately, but he went after Bachmann as well there. I think they should have been allowed to respond.

Are they gonna ask ******* Ron Paul anything?

What would be the point?

Good point actually...

Dr. Paul is consistent.
We already know what his answer is. That is why he is a victor before the debate.

As for the rest, they will change whatever they say to what "the powers that be" tell them to say.

Well what's the point of any of these debates?

None, it would seem.

But unless Paul is going to run as an independent, one fails to see the point given GOP party bosses have already decided not to allow him the nomination. Again.

President Obama is watching this and smiling

What the **** was Santorum talking about... No one said states can do anything they want...

I didn't hear Dr. Paul say that when he was asked about it.

He was asked about how it works constitutionally, and he was right. The federal government has no right to stop the states from implementing any kind of health care system that they choose to do. The states have to focus on their own constitutions and whether it's constitutional for them to do it, but just because the federal government can't do it doesn't mean the states can't. That being said, just because something is constitutional, whether at the federal or state level, doesn't make it right, which Ron Paul touched on in his answer.

He must have taken the economy, jobs, freedom, leadership and Obamacare.
