Audi A4 versus Audi A3 noise level?

Audi, as per its name, is proud to be good at controlling noise in the car from outside, so you can have a nice conversation in the car without talking loud, even when you drive at high speed or the traffic is high around. It looks like the A4 has a much better noise attenuation than the A3. Is it just my observation, or did you observe this too? What car would you choose to minimize the external noise?

I believe this information is provided in car evaluations by Car & Driver magazine, as well as some others. The noise levels are measured at a constant speed and during maximum acceleration.

If QUIET is your objective, then I would guess that either Buick or Lexus would be most likely to satisfy you.
