When the Clintons were investigated for losing money on the Whitewater real estate deal Ken Starr went after the president for a BJ. How do you like that shoe being on the other foot now? I hope that the AG is correct but the fact that the grand jury is extended another 6 months suggests otherwise.

Mueller wouldn't go to court to ask for that extension if he was finished with his investigation and about to write a report. The judge wouldn't have granted that extension if Mueller had not presented evidence and a reason for it.

So while I wish that Mueller was close to being done and will have his report out soon, the fact of that extension makes me apprehensive of what the AG said.

You're not fooling anyone, You don't wish this investigation was about over.

Also oh uneducated one. There is this. Federal grand juries are empanaled for six months, there is no such thing as a 1 month extension or whatever. It's just six months, so Mueller could have went to the judge and said "hey I need another month or 2 to end this investigation" and the judge granted the only extension he or she could, that being a six month one.

Another trick federal prosecutors can use is they can have two witnesses saying two opposing things and they can just say "we believe the first person and not the second person and thus we're charging the first person with perjury" and then in court they will have to prove the person they charged lied but often getting to court isn't even the goal, just charging the person is.
