Why would he want to become President and then just get impeached and trashed by the establishment and the press?

Dems called Virginia a "bellwether" election and now all they want to do is forget about it. A note to Youngkin: democrat Northam could get away with any statement or racist history or screwed up policy but Media Matters is waiting to spin any minor glitch or flaw by a republican into a federal case. That's the way the system works.

Some bluntly said it’s time for the party to move on from the former president’s baseless claims of election fraud. Most of the public remarks, however, focused on presenting the states as laboratories of conservative ideas, and casting the midterm elections as a referendum on the Biden administration and progressive “wokeness.”
