Also according to what I heard, RUSSIA actually ratted on Assad, and told US officials that they saw Syrian air crews loading the Chemical weapons on Syrian planes. Russia then publicly denounced the attack on the airbase that they built, but in return for them helping us we

1.) Gave Russian Forces a warning &
2.) Destroyed only Syrian equipment, armaments, and planes, leaving the Russian air strip in tact, but Syrian capabilities badly damaged.
