ITMT, what he and the Dems are really suggesting here is that a bunch of unarmed, middle-aged people dressed in heavy winter coats walking around taking selfies of themselves, often with their wives and I even saw a few kids, were an insurmountable threat to our congresspeople, that our leaders are for the most part such a group of utter cowards and pussies, pansies and wallflowers that they cowered in fear shaking under their desks rather than even try to stand up to a simple group of very unorganized people carrying cellphones.

If I had been there, I would have at least been leader enough that if no one else would do it, I would have at least gone out and met these people halfway, tried to calm them down, try to stall them by forcing them to pick a leader and we find out just what their point, objective, and reason for being there really was.

A real leader might have diffused the whole situation by simply having respected the rally group on J6 enough to go out and speak with them first and understand their position and make them understand yours and reach an understanding first instead of throwing grenades at them, and J6 might never have happened.

Probably why they wouldn't take Trump down there either; they knew Trump would have probably gotten the whole group to diffuse and go home.

The family would have won a civil trial and the items you mentioned would not be admissible. The case will depend on proving Babbit was an imminent threat which isnt possible since we have video of the shooting. In my opinion this was a panicked cop or an accidental discharge caused by poor performance by the cop

Ms. Babbitt was a terrorits that was attacking Congress and attempting to prevent them from doing their Constitutional duty of counting the Electoral College votes. She was the first person at the forfront of a violent mob that had breached the last law enforcement barricade. She was climbing through the broken window and would have been mere steps away from an entracnce to the House Floor where members of Congress, their staff, and civilians were located. As such she and the mob she led, presented a clear and present danger of death or serious bodily injury to law enforcement, Congress, and their staff.

Lt. Byrd is an American hero that held the thin blue line in the face of such a violent rioutous mob. With a single controlled shot center-mass (which since she was hunched over as she breached the barricade was upper left shoulder) he skocked the rioters for critical seconds while reenforcements arrived be the stairway behind the rioters.

Lt. Byrd's actions saved lives that day as if the mob had continued to breach the barricade and entered the House Chamber there would have been MORE rioters killed by arm law enforcement in the Chamber and the SWAT team arriving from behind.

What I mentioned wouldn't have been admitted in a civil suit because it wouldn't have happened. Once the family was paid off there would have been no civil trail.

And the family wouldn't have won the civil suit because Ms. Babbitt committed suicide by cop and the shooting was fully justified. There is plenty of video evidence and testimony of the violence committed by the mob that day.
