ASEAN summit opens to discuss economic ties, regional security
Myanmar, South China Sea code of conduct still up for discussion

Leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries kicked off a summit on Wednesday in the Laotian capital city of Vientiane, with the aim of enhancing the region's economic and security cooperation and reaching out to other dialogue partners in East Asia and Oceania.
Groups like this are what the world needs, not single country super powers. It is groups like this that will lessen the power and reach of single nations.
