Fed up with cycles of economic crisis, Argentines vaulted radical libertarian President Javier Milei to power in 2023. He railed against Kirchnerism, vowed to destroy the state and praised U.S. President Donald Trump as an ideological soulmate.

For the last two years, Milei has has done the exact opposite of his most powerful ally in Washington.

While Trump has waged trade wars, Milei has flung open Argentina’s doors to imports, slashed trade barriers, unwound customs red tape and shored up the local currency to make foreign goods more affordable.
trump has the US waiting in the wings, as the rest of the world progresses into the 21st century. China is taking advantage of the opportunity to move into parts of the world that trump is either punishing or ignoring. Someone needs to tell Donald that the US is NOT going back to days when coal was king, white only bathrooms, and days when his dad could turn down black people from renting his apartments. Those were trump's golden years.

Hey, I am willing to buy one of those cheap Chinese EVs. You can bet I won't buy an EV from the NAZI named Musk.

You are a complete retard. Musk is bad because he isnt chopping his pecker off and calling himself a girl, but slave labor and re-education camps are fine. lol
Leftists : All emotion. No brains.

Argentina needs to be careful. The Chinese are not interested in free and open trade. They are only interested in YOU having free and open trade so they can dump their shitty products on you at below-cost, destroy your own manufacturing sector, and turn you into a captive market.

Meanwhile, they throw up all sorts of trade barriers and regulation to YOUR products to protect their own manufacturing.

Enjoy. Multiple images like this coming out of China.

If you dont trust purchasing a $20 watch from China, why in the hell would somebody spend $20k, risk their privacy and their life?

China has improved their manufacturing there is no doubt. Not to the extent that I would trust them. Japanese cars were top notch from the start, high quality. Ditto for Germany.

Dont blame me, I respect the Chinese culture and their people. I grew up with many Asians in high school including ex girlfriends.

I am not a fan of communism and China has NOT opened up their market. All of which makes Europeans look like groveling, hypocritical idiots, some of them surely compromised when they DONT EVER call out China. "

Weak leaders.

Regardless. I am just the Messenger. Here is what Argentinans may face in the near future:

Did you expect Argentina to be America1st? Looks like they're following TRUMPs lead and putting their own country 1st.
