As I understand it, she took him back through the jury box and let him out the restricted staff only, corridor that the Border Patrol didn’t have access to. That is classic aiding and abetting. The solution to corruption in elected officials is to just not reelect them, but judges and other unelected, installed government positions, impeachment and prosecution for crimes is the only solution.
