There is no phrase in the Constitution saying there must be a "Separation of Church & State". The State is only not supposed to prevent citizens from worshiping any god or practicing any religion they choose. If they choose to worship on public property then so be it. The State needs to leave the people alone.
*shakes head*
no... the minority is also protected from people who want to shove their religious beliefs down the throats of others.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Wiki - "The U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted it, to mean that religion and government must stay separate for the benefit of both, including the idea that the government must not impose religion on Americans nor create any law requiring it. It has since been in several opinions handed down by the United States Supreme Court, though the Court has not always fully embraced the principle."
Sorry, but I do not see where the minority is also protected from people who want to shove their religious beliefs down the throats of others.
