My guess is that when they attacked last year, the assumption, right or wrong was that those places were the only places they enriching uranium, and storing it.

They immediately started digging out these facilities, and ramping up their ballistic weapons manufacturing and managed to recover 467kg of 60% enriched uranium. Enough to make 11 nukes. This was their starting point in negotiations. And further, that they had a God given right to develop, and use as they see fit a nuclear weapon.

It is at this foundational moment that negotiations were over and the regime, and every bit of their evil intended reign decided to be over. They would never quit and join civilized, 21st century nations.

So, the only logical response was what Israel and the United States undertook.

Now, whether the campaign can be totally successful from the air alone, is yet to be determined. But, make no mistake about it. The theocratic regime was in a war with Israel, and the United States to the death of both. And those who now gnash their teeth, blame Trump, or Bibi, and argue that Iran is a victim here, are enemies to both, and with actions, traitors to this country, and its future existence.
