Ah, you like em big--- a LONG smoke. Those take 1-2 hours to smoke! You then also probably like the lighter wrappers like the Claro and Colorado.

I tend to like the Perfecto, Robusto and the Corona, usually with a Maduro wrapper, but it depends on the brands.

If you get the chance, try a Padron Anniversary Series or for something spicy and different, try an Acid.

My smallest humidor of three.

I smoke like I drink, way too fast lol.

Nice collection.

Don't smoke em too fast. The higher temps in the ash and smoke fcks up the cigar and hurts the flavor. Smoke it just enough to keep it from going out.

PS: Never relight a cigar. Once it goes out, moisture condenses inside and the flavor crashes.

Quit about ten years ago and never looked back.

I see people smoking nowadays and I wonder why are they doing that?

Not to mention that these days, it can be a very expensive habit. At $12 a pack and a pack a day, that's over $300 a month.

Have you seen this dipshits OPs? Do you like "brown rice or white rice?" "Do you like drinking water?"

Every thread this idiot makes is horeshit. Furthermore, this weirdo fuck NEVER actually engages with his own threads. He asks a boring as hell one sentence question and then he dips out immediately. :cuckoo:

Then put him on ignore and POOF you will not have to see them.

It is nice to have a thread or two on here that is not 100% about politics for a change of pace

This thread is not what I thought it was about:

This is odd as I was just thinking about it a few months ago. Early on I tried ciggies and some were downright OK while others tasted like crap. Think 1970s early. I won't go into brands but Chesterfield and port Royal rollies were my starters. I liked them. Also Craven A with the cork tips...tasted fine as long as you smoked them SLOWLY. Then fags started to just burn too fast..too hot...no taste. Very early on I shifted to pipe tobacco and pipes. I was out picking tobacco (Queensland Australia) when one of the older guys told about the old tobacco factory that closed about twenty years before. He said he'd make me some pipe tobaccco so he picked out some "gold" leaf and took it home. (Owner was part of the conversation; no worries). He told me how to smoke it...slowly and not too deep...and I bought a little pipe and waited. About a fortnight later he brought some in and we has a smoke during smoko. Interesting and pleasant enough and after a few weeks I could really appreciate the flavor. Hell it was good. So over the years I smoked my pipe when I felt like it but it was not regular; I'd often take months long ...even a year or two..break. I would get a Balkan Sobranie and it was "my" brand. A couple of Irish and Scots brands were good too but I was a Balkan Sobranie 4Eva smoker by the time I was about 30 yo.

Once the bullshit Fag nazis started though you couldn't get it here any more....stuff those bastards...though about six years ago I decided to stop. No particular reason other than inability to get the stuff I wanted.

As for cigs; never really had more than a few a week and later (25 yo) rarely at all. Just me and my pipe.

Does talking about it make me want to smoke again?? Not one bit. If I head to Europe again i might "strike a light" but only for old times' sake.

Never was addicted to the nico; never had withdrawals etc.

i am a former smoker. i smoked a pack a day for 26 years, starting at the age of 12. i quit in 2000 & haven't had one since. hardest thing i ever did was quitting.

it doesn't bother me to be around a smoker, but can't stand the smell on clothing. i know if i took one puff, i'd be right back to being one.

i dont like smelly clothing either

No ambition. Whine about lack of resources, yet Japan has that same problem and gets ahead in spite of it.

Most of all, 800 years of cowardly subjection to English rule. Their pathetic ballad "Rising of the Moon" sounds like the Notre Dame fight song but, if it were realistic, would sound like "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."

RichKids are sissies afraid of the Marlboro Man and all other masculine images. Their Daddies make all our laws and buy the love of their brats that way.

Oncologists are educated eunuchs incapable of curing cancer, so why should we believe they're capable of knowing what causes it? The two are directly related, but their unearned prestige allows them to interfere with people's lifestyles.

It's a Way for Effeminate Elitists to Get Others to Pay Their Taxes

During the 60s, a Hemingwayesque writer, Robert Ruark, mentioned that the younger generation of the upper class had rejected smoking.

I myself had a clue about the class bias of Tobacco Nazis when I dated a rich girl who a few years before had been a confirmed smoker. She gave me a curiously snobbish look when I assumed that she still smoked. Later, I realized that it meant there never again would be any sense of generational solidarity with other birth classes, which had been the reason she had smoked back in 1961.

That's because all you ever knew were those crappy cigarettes. Floor sweepings of the cheapest Turkish tobacco sprayed with additives to give it a bit of flavor and to make it addictive wrapped in toilet paper.

In contrast, there are also pipes and cigars--- unlike cigarettes which you might smoke one every hour or every 15 minutes, pipes, you might only smoke 1-2 times a day and cigars maybe less than that--- further, you don't inhale them. So not only does your body get a rest, most pipe and cigar tobacco involves centuries of development taking months and years of complex cultivation and curing developing enormous flavor from the very highest of tobaccos.

Cigarettes are just a cheap, dirty habit; pipes and cigars are a luxury, a civilized, cultivated pleasure shared among the cultured hoi ligoi of society.
