These structures were built because of religion. Often it was the belief that some humans were gods on earth. That it was good and correct for an entire society to build these structures to ensure the mangods continued on the proper path.

While we revere these wonders, they still stand as a reminder of the pratfalls of getting morality from religion.

It will dawn on posters why I put this topic up once they watch the videos. As you point out, we know those stones have been there for many thousands of years and primitive man did not have cranes then like we now have. Even today, moving a Crane there into Montana to pick up such heavy loads is more than likely not possible.

Try this. Go find Cranes that can work in those mountains, today, that can pick up in primitive areas 140 tons.

At shipyards of course they have them. But that is not what is in those Mountains of montana.

The firm owner I worked at his firm told me to take a man and go pick up a 20 ton beam and put it where he wanted it. It was a part of a former Bridge and after several hours I still had not done it. First I was new to his construction yard. I did not know where the proper cables were. I think back and wish I had asked the crane operator for his opinion but for the life of me I just wanted to get some cables and go pick it up. He sent me to a different job where I used the same man to finish a small pier and was more pleased.
