Nuclear war from Trump’s tweet, or the situation we are in now?

Neither. We are no closer to Nuclear war now, than we were in 1954. All it is, is saber rattling and blowhard bluffing as is usual. Trump didn't take us to Nuclear war, and Biden won't either.

You're right if America doesn't tamper with the agreements in place that form the rules for the war against Russia.

But it's very hard to see how that can last indefinitely now, as even Russia is pulling out the stops on their demolition of Kiev.

It can only be a question of how destructive the war can get on both sides before Russia demonstrated the ultimate force.

Or alternatively, it could go on until the Ukraine has nothing standing that's over one story high! Then there won't be anything left to fight over.
