Can Trump legally do that?

Legal experts say granting Musk and his team access to such sensitive government data potentially contravenes multiple federal statutes, including the Privacy Act of 1974, the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), as well as strict taxpayer privacy provisions under the Internal Revenue Code.

The short answer is, YES, they are. trump is going to push the executive powers as far as he can. But, more seriously, he is allowing a person who does not have classified access to roam through OUR personal information in violation of the Privacy Act. I thought he would over reach in his second term, but I never thought he would blatantly violate federal law. But, he is a Felon...so I should have seen it coming?

Well, it's not like he is having his drug addicted son who is committing felonies on gun applications go over seas to get enriched by oligarchs for providing unknown services and for unknown reasons so that he can give 10% off the top to the "Big Guy" while not paying taxes on any of the money.

But I digress.

I reckon that is why pardons were created, something Trump can do before he leaves

But then, Trump could have pardoned himself last time, but did not even though democrat after democrat was threatening with putting him in jail.

I guess is shows the trust Trump has in the justice system as well as his own innocence.

potentially contravenes
'in a potential or possible state or condition

—used to describe the possible results or effects of something.'

Let us know when they go to the Oval Office with handcuffs.

trump is a Felon (34). We should have expected him to keep breaking the law. But we did not expect him to let his billionaire oligach friend who gave him over a quarter billion dollars to get elected permission to break the law. trump IS LAWLESS.

But, the spineless gop will pay in 2026.
