We may have witnessed the death of swing states. According to Democrats, virtually any Republican would have done better in the election than Donald J Trump did. So, since Trump won every single one of the seven swing states, and any other Republican would have done better than Trump, doesn't that mean that there no longer are any swing states?

You are operating off of a false premise. Although I'm sure there are some Republicans that could have done better than Trump in the election, it's not "virtually any Republican".

The old ones may be gone but now Virginia and New Jersey are swing states.

It was democrat's false premise.

It was democrat's false premise.
Since the premise is false it doesn't lead to the conclusion you were asking about in your question. The source of the false premise is irrelevant to the logic.

As someone else noted, the new swing states are some of the old blue states.

He said that is what Democrats believe.
And I repeat post #6:

The swing states are still there. In order to keep them swing states, both parties need to run competent nominees. Hoping to get an incompetent person elected simply because of her gender is unrealistic.
