I DO NOT see any way this pans out and a president is duly elected with the faith of the voter.

I don't see how this will EVER work.

Very complicated process for Trump & company.
1. Request a mail in ballot from your county board of elections.
2. When ballot arrives in September, fill it out with your choices.
3. Mail it back to the board of elections.

A very difficult process, but with a little thought and planning, doable.

Of course this minimizes Russia's opportunities to hack the vote and try and swing the election to Trump. No wonder he's against mail in.
