Throughout our evolutionary history, women were considered much more valuable, reproductively-speaking. So, women were valued and protected. And these protective attitudes evolved and became ingrained in our psyche. Now, in our modern world, we have billions of humans. No single woman is that valuable anymore. However, we still have protective attitudes towards women. Why? It's because evolved traits/attitudes/mentality cannot just be rationally thought away. That's not how it works. Dumb shit.
