Are All Black Americans Racist?

To those of you who are pretending not to understand or who simply really don't understand, jsut apply the same logic and reasons behind Bush's support in Texas.

Those people STILL support and love him...after all the ABYSMAL effects he's had on this country. At no time did Bush's support in Texas drop.

Are you saying it was because he's white, Texan or Republican that those people have, continue to and will support Bush so much?

Aren't you amongst the same set of people that get so upset when folks use vids from Jay Leno et al who show the average dumb American on the street as, well...dumb to bolster their claims that Americans are dumb?

LoL @ using a RW comedian such as Howard Stern to bolster your bogus already dug-in claims about blacks.

ROTFLMBAO!!!

49izadw.gif

No I don't get upset when Jay Leno does his "man on the street" interviews. Why would I? Everyone knows Californians are a bunch of know-nothings anyhow.

Stern is a rightwinger? You'll show to show some proof of that claim. But I doubt you will, you liberal idiots rarely provide proof.

Facts are facts and it's hard to argue against them try as you may.

"We blacks"? How totally ******* arrogant. If you do not see blacks as individuals, don't you dare call any white person a racist who does likewise.

Honestly, I didn't see it as arrogance. Like is attracted to like. I voted for a republican Mayor because he came from my neighborhood. Thought he'd understand and address the needs of that neighborhood because he was "one of our own."
Didn't work out that way, mind you. He moved to the swanky part of town the next day, and one of his first official acts was to ride a white horse (you just CAN'T make this shit up) to shut down the strip club he was a frequent visitor of. There's pictures (of him in the club), it's a fact.

If 'like is attracted to like', how did Obama get elected? Because last time I checked, blacks were not a majority in the US. He got elected for a variety of reasons - one of which was his race. A lot of blacks voted for him on color. That's a fact. I don't actually criticize them for that - I think it's understandable. A lot of whites voted for him because he's black - and I don't criticize them for it either. Again, it's understandable - there is a debt by the majority to the minority in the US.... the majority owe minorities the same opportunities that the majority has traditionally had. I have no issue with that as a concept. My issue with Obama is his policies - not his color.

What really pisses me off is that we had an opportunity with his election - we had the chance to put race above politics.... which is something I fundamentally believe we need to do in order to get to that 'promised land' that MLK talked about.... Instead, it became an even bigger stick for the left to beat the right with. The use of the race card is getting totally out of control and I know a lot of black friends who are sick and tired of it.

Okay, first things first. The bold above? "Like" means different things to different people. I voted for that republican mayor, and it wasn't because of political "like..." but for the fact that I thought he understood and cared about the issues in our common community. I was wrong, but that example shows the many reasons people may see someone as "like" them, or who would understand and address issues common amongst them. It doesn't have to be a similarity of race or culture, or even economy, but it can be one, or some, or many "likes."

And Cali, you cannot state with any credence that racial animosity has little or nothing to do with the opposition TO his policies (not yours mind you), or that race hasn't been peppered throughout the rhetoric against him by politically minded opportunists, and clearly targeted to a demographic that responds to THAT sort of "like" minded denominator. You can't, it would be dishonest.

Last I looked Bush isn't running for political office so what the **** are Texans supposedly supporting him on?

This is thing with you liberal idiots. You cannot defend Obama or the blacks that blindly support him, so you do what all good liberals do. You bring up Bush.

First, you hijacked your own thread by talking about Bush just a few posts back. The topic was Bush now, not Obama. Next, what is your malfunction? Blacks are not some robotic group who all think and act the same. There are blacks who don't support Obama's policies. Deal with it.

Blacks are also allowed to change their positions too. You really need to stop speaking for all blacks and thinking you all are in lockstep.

Anyone who claims there are no racists in the opposition to Obama would be an idiot. That's a fact. There are people who do actually hate the man - solely because he's black. My problem is that they are a minority - a very, very small minority.... But I can't see them anymore because people who support Obama keep telling me I'm one of them. I am not one of them. But if Obama's 'side' keep pointing at everyone who disagrees with them and screaming 'Racist' at us, how the **** are we supposed to deal with the real racists? How do we spot them. Fact is, we can't and the reason we can't is because the left keep blurring the image. More than anything else, I resent the left for that. They have made it easier for true racism to go unchallenged. Shame on them.

People 'like' me come in all colors, races and creeds. We are no different to you. We care very much about our nation. We are proud of its achievements - and we're not stupid enough not to see its faults. But what I can tell you is that most of us oppose his policies... We do not hate the person.... not his color, or his creed.... I don't give a shit whether he's a Christian, Muslim, Jew or Atheist. It is his politics. And it is for most of those 'like' me.

And.... just so everyone knows... I have, once or twice, voted Democrat.

interesting.....say help a brother out; I tried to quantify that...by googling a smattering of verbiage, examples I used;

Poll- support for George W bush drops in texas

Poll- support for George W bush rises in texas

And
support for George W bush drops in texas

support for George W bush rises in texas

and

Texans don't support george w bush

Texans support Bush

and
Texans opinions of bush negative

Texans opinions of bush positive

and
Taxans hate bush

Texans love bush

I cannot seem to bring up anything with data on Texans not sppting bush or sppting him...can you link to that please?

well, other than this-

Texans turn against Bush's war
Thursday, Sep 20, 2007 07:01 ET

Disillusionment with Iraq is smoldering even in the heart of Bush country, where military families have paid a heavy price.

LUCKENBACH, Texas -- As George W. Bush approaches his final year in office saddled with an unpopular war, the shifting winds of public opinion have reached even the wide open spaces of Bush country. More and more Texans appear disillusioned with the war in Iraq and with the man who was once their widely popular governor, though some can still seem reluctant to talk about it.

"The truth is, folks in Texas are hurting," says Big Bo Kern, standing behind the counter at the Luckenbach General Store, a fixture of this small but well-known Texas crossroads. "They probably won't tell you that, because we supported Bush and stood up for him. Back in the day you couldn't swing a dead cat around here without hitting one of those 'W' stickers.

Of course we are really talking about African Americans in your thread, you can derail or re-task it if you like I guess, but I think we may a way to go yet. yes?

You're from/in there...don't YOU still love the dumb summamabatch!??

Prove it.

Of course you will say this.

You know its true, you support Bush yourself, you also know it will be extremely hard to prove as far as written or documented. Brilliant.

With that said...here's some strong indication that it is...

The support for the tax cuts is much stronger in the Lone Star state than in the rest of the country, pollster Scott Rasmussen concluded. Nationally, just more than half of voters want the tax breaks extended.

Poll finds overwhelming support in Texas for extending Bush tax cuts | Texas on the Potomac | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

It doesn't get more gospel than Scott Rasmussen as far as all things RW and Republican goes.

Hating someone because of their skin color is stupid - and can be dangerous (if you're a nutjob). Loving someone because of their skin color is stupid.

Clearly I was being dramatic, but the support for Bush is still very high in Texas.

Do you not experience this to be true in your own circles?

So, supporting tax cuts equates to supporting Bush? On what planet?

Seriously, Marc, you need to either back up the statement you made with actual stats or I have to conclude that you made that shit up.

Oh, and FYI.... the best way to judge any Presidency is 20 years after.... when the whole impact of that President can be reviewed as a whole. And.... when considering the success or failure of a President.... one really needs to consider who ran Congress during that presidency.

Glib sentences such as 'Bush was a failure as POTUS' are actually easy to say, but they are rarely factually accurate.

What's the difference in hating a person because they're a particular color and loving a person because they're a particular color?

I find it takes quite a bit of time and energy to hate someone. Love seems to be much easier and benefical to both parties. I also find that the hate is directed more at the person's actions and beliefs, while loving the person is more directed toward the person themselves.

No you were clearly lying which is typical of you liberal idiots.

Support is very high for a lot of Republicans in Texas you stupid ****!

And you can't prove the statement you just made either.

You may as well concede to the fact that you lied.
