Career. Job. Whatever. In the end a means to a paycheck. Doesn't define one in any way. Only for the elitists. And they should have zero influence in politics.

Of course it defines you. What you do is what and who you are. People used to be named after their occupation or trade; carpenter, weaver, miller, fisher, shoemaker, etc.
