Of course, the Palestinians have proven there is no diplomatic solution. Since 1920, they have been committed to the destruction of Israel, and recent polls have shown, Hamas is the voice of the overwhelming majority of the Palestinians. There is no good solution to the conflict, because the Palestinians will not settle for anything less than the destruction of Israel, so the only way forward, to peacefulness, if not peace, is to destroy their means of attacking Israel; in this case the destruction of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and any other terrorist organization that may try to organize in Gaza or Judea and Samaria.

Hamas did promise to attack again, and as we can see immediately after the OCT 7 attack, this started to mobilize the Islamic world, and they saw this as a great thing. What would happen if Israel sat there and just took it would be this. All the other radical islamists would smell the blood in the water and then join in until Israel was comepletely destroyed.

The real problem is HAMAS who rejects any diplomacy, so therefore cease fires are only strategic interludes for HAMAS to regroup, re arm and attack first again. We have seen this time after time after time.
