I think that of all the possible classes I could have done to satisfy the "liberal arts" requirements
of my college degree----the ONE SUBJECT I avoided like the plague was ECONOMICS-----
to me CALCULUS was easier (a real requirement for me---not an elective---luckily---
I would have DROPPED it had it been an elective) I have no idea how these tariffs are going to
PAN OUT for the USA or the world

I always get a good laugh when Trumpers accuse other politicians of lying.
It's going to raise prices. And so all the people who got pandemic raises or inflation raises or cost of living raises, are going to find that their dollar doesn't go as far as it used to. They'll need another raise that won't come again for another 40 years.
$1 million dollars isn't what it used to be.
Yea I hated Econ. I knew all the IF this THEN that wasn't always true. Like for example all the illegals have disappeared. Afraid ICE is going to catch them. If Supply and Demand were a hard rule, then wages would be going up up up. All those illegals who have left and no ones crossing the border. Companies should need workers bad and wages should be going up. Supply and demand.
But companies would rather not. So even though they need help, they refuse to increase their wages to attract workers. They'd rather just not grow and stay the same and keep wages at such a low number it doesn't hurt their profits.

1. If Biden "kept" tariffs that were already on China in place and he didn't raise tariffs, no he did not raise prices.
2. Is Robert now claiming that Biden took on China with their unfair trade practices? Last year MAGA said Biden was a sucker and letting China rip us off. Now Robert is saying Biden hiked them a hell of a lot? I call bullshit on that one. And if he did, why didn't Robert vote for Kamala? I think Robert has this all twisted. I think I caused him to snap when he wrote that stupid post.

How about Trump's on again off again tariffs? Reeking havoc on the means of production.
Recently, in late April 2025, the White House criticized Amazon after a report emerged that the company planned to display how much Trump's tariffs are costing us.
What about threatening the means of production?
Trump later said Bezos "did the right thing" and praised him. He told reporters that Bezos "solved the problem very quickly" and called him a "good guy".
What problem? Bezos should show us how much Trump's tariffs are costing us. Why hide it?
