The Real McCoy

Charles "Kid" McCoy (October 13, 1872 – April 18, 1940), born Norman Selby, was an American world champion boxer and early Hollywood actor.

Ranker.com has him ranked as #121st of all time. Last year he was ranked #85 as the list changes. He was married to my Mom's aunt, even though he was married 10 times.

Glen Campbell was my third cousin. He was from across the Little Missouri River, over there in Delight, Arkansas.

Never met him though.

My mother told me her half brother murdered someone out east some years back.

I am sure it made the papers somewhere.:dunno:

I had an uncle who once ran for Lt Gov of Texas, does that count?

On my Dad's side I'm related to Daniel Boone and on my Mom's side I'm related to Abraham Lincoln.

Not that I know of... my uncle, however, is a very good painter, has had several shows, selling all pieces, is ought after for portraits... all this means he should be famous 20 - 30 years after he dies...

Probably doesn't count...
